Full Rollout of Home Information Packs
By now, most of you will have heard the fact that the full HIPs rollout for all properties, begins on 14th December 2007. This means that all new listings for sales of residential properties will require a HIP from 14th December 2007.
You can order HIPS for 1 and 2 bedroom properties in the same way as you have for 3 and 4 bedrooms and the same process will apply.
Changes for Leasehold
Another change announced was for Leasehold properties. The Lease is still required for the HIP, but the requirement for other leasehold information is being waived for 6 months.
This will help to speed up the delivery of HIPs for leasehold properties.
As a result, from 14th December 2007, we will not be charging a supplement for Leasehold cases.
First Day Marketing Rule
The government has also announced that the "first day marketing rules" will not apply until 1st June 2008. This means that you can continue to market properties once you have ordered a HIP, as now, and do not yet have to wait until the key documents are present.
I'm sure the changes for Leasehold properties and First day marketing will be welcomed, as will our reduction in price for Leasehold!
