By registering or placing an order or requesting a quote on this site, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of the relevant information under the terms of this policy. These terms are to be read with and form part of our general terms and conditions.

Personal information is only used with knowledge of those providing it and personal information is only seen by those who require it as part of their employment in the provision of the services you have requested from us.

Only information required to manage this site or provide a Home Information Pack is collected.

Personal information is retained only for as long as it is required as part of the supply of the HIP.

Inaccurate or misleading information or data will be corrected as soon as possible.

We will provide you with a copy of such personal information as we receive in relation to the preparation of a HIP on request. These principles apply whether we hold your information on paper or in electronic form.

It is a term and condition of your registration and of ReallyHIP accepting your order that you draw each sellers attention to this Data Protection Policy and obtain the sellers consent and agreement to ReallyHIP processing and managing personal information in relation to the preparation of a HIP on the basis of the Policy.

The Consent:

You acknowledge and agree that: In the course of using this Website or registering with it and any services offered via this Website, certain information about you (as seller) will be captured electronically or otherwise and transmitted to ReallyHIP Ltd or and, to any third parties as set out below or to third parties who host our web servers or assist us in maintaining this Website; and You consent to the use, storage, or processing of your personal information by ReallyHIP Ltd (or any third party ReallyHIP Ltd uses for carrying out credit checks) for the purposes of carrying out any credit checks, and for the processing of payments in the event that you enter into any financial transaction with ReallyHIP Ltd.

The provision of a Home Information Pack by us specifically requires disclosure of personal details to third parties being:

Home Inspector or Domestic Energy assessor for the purposes of carrying out a Home Condition report and/or Energy Performance Certificate.

Personal Search Agent for the purposes or obtaining Local Authority enquiries and Drainage enquiries.

Landlords/managing agents if the property is Leasehold/Commonhold.

Once the HIP is produced and the subject property is on the market for sale third parties will have access to the contents of the HIP.

By using this Website, you expressly agree to the collection, management and use of the information supplied as set out above for the purposes set out in this Policy.

Information that we collect is required only for the preparation of a HIP in relation to a subject property and will include: the name of the seller, the address of the subject property, contact details for the seller. Credit/debit card details may be required depending on the method of payment.

The information we collect is used only for the preparation of the HIP.

Disclosure of your information

We will not disclose any of personally identifiable information except when we have your permission to do so or when required by law. By ordering a HIP you expressly consent to us disclosing such information as is necessary to the third parties referred to above in relation to the obtaining of information/documentation for the preparation of a HIP. Remember that as part of the selling process third parties will have access to the HIP and its contents.

The information you provide to us will be held on our computers and may be accessed by or given to our staff and third parties who act for us for the purposes set out in this policy. We may cause data to be processed outside the EEA by partner organisations (only in relation to the preparation of the HIP). In such circumstances we will ensure that the same standards and principles applicable within the EEA to the processing of personal data are complied with by those partners organisation.

Those parties process information, fulfil and deliver orders, and provide support services on our behalf.

How Do We Protect Personal Information?

We have strict security procedures covering the storage processing and disclosure of personal information in order to prevent unauthorized access to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.

We reserve the right to add to or change the terms of this Policy in our sole discretion, without prior notice to you. If we change this Policy, we will post the new Policy on the Website, and it will become effective from the time of posting to the Website.
